The graduate thesis award of the Italian Union of Rationalist Atheists and Agnostics (Uaar) reaches its fourteenth edition and this year it will be given to students who graduate with a final thesis of particular value which is consistent with the social purposes of the association, mainly the protection of secular civil rights, freedom of thought and secularism of the state.
The three prizes of 1,000€ each for master’s degrees, specialist degrees or old graduate degree, awarded after 2007 were extended last year to also include three prizes of 600 €each for three-year degrees.
This year’s prizes will be awarded to authors of thesis papers presented during the period between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020. In this case, two prizes will be awarded, one for each of the two previously mentionedtypes, in the following categories:
- legal disciplines;
- philosophy, literature, humanities and history;
- other disciplines (e.g. sociology, educational sciences, sciences, medicine, economics, statistics …).
Anyone wishing to submit their work must send the necessary documentation by July 5, 2020.
